I think (?) therefore, is an exploration of identity and the fallacy of rigid labels and categorization. We’re constantly trying to place people in discrete boxes; we compartmentalize and separate ourselves based on static qualities and constructed concepts, like race, gender, sexuality, and nationality. But categories leak, invariably things spill out. Through image and text – old, new, and appropriated – this 10″ x 8.5″ book attempts to reconcile what it means to say, “I am, I exist.”
